Cryptic Disk - Deleting encrypted disks and partitions
|
You can always erase an encrypted disk or partition and convert it back into a regular one. To do this, you should select the disk/partition labeled as “ENCRYPTED” and select the “Erase the encrypted disk” item in the right or upper bar or in the menu. After you select this item, the program will display a dialog box for confirming the operation of erasing the encrypted disk/partition.

If the encrypted disk was created on the basis of a whole hard drive, upon removal there will be no partitions on it. In order to work with such a disk, it is recommended that you break it into partitions by means of special-purpose software, the utility built into Windows, or select the check-box “Create Partition” before removing the encrypted disk. If you are erasing an encrypted disk created from a removable disk (e.g. Flash Drive) and a regular partition and if the “Mount the disk/partition to letter” option is enabled, you will be offered the ability to format the regular unencrypted disk/partition you have just created.
