Boot Protection

After the computer is turned on, the operating system starts to load. As a rule, operating systems are stored on hard disks. First, the computer detects a disk and then it reads the system loader that finally determines the operating system and loads it.

Disk Password Protection will help you protect the start of your operating system at the very beginning. If the correct password is not entered, the system loader will not be read and therefore the operating system will not be loaded.

You can enable or disable protection and change the password in the program. See the "Working with boot protection" section for details. Boot protection does not depend on the number and types of operating systems. None of them will be loaded until you enter the correct password.

If you forget or lose your password and want to disable the protection, you can take a look at the password hint if it was specified when you were enabling boot protection. It is impossible to disable protection if you do not know the correct password.

Limitations:
• The maximum password length is 32 characters.
• You can use only Latin letters and numbers in the password.
• The maximum hint length is 64 characters.
