This version of the program allows creating encrypted virtual disks from container files. Support for encrypting physical disks is absent. Also absent is support for creating hidden encrypted volumes, only one encryption algorithm (AES/Rijndael) is supported, no support for cascade encryption, no support for automatic actions upon mounting/dismounting a container. Exlade Cryptic Disk 3 Home Edition is the best defense for personal or confidential information on home computers.

Cryptic Disk 3 Professional Edition

This version of the program allows not only creating encrypted virtual disks from container files, but encrypting physical disks as well. Also present is support for creating hidden encrypted disks (only one level of nesting). Users can choose any encryption algorithm (AES/Rijndael, Serpent, Twofish, Blowfish, CAST6), but cascade encryption is not supported. The professional version of the program has configurable automatic actions when mounting and dismounting encrypted disks: play WAV files or launch programs and scripts in the CMD Shell, Windows Scripts and PowerShell languages.

The flagship product in the Cryptic Disk lineup includes all of the features of the above versions and more. The program allows creating virtual encrypted disks from container files and encrypting physical disks. Cascade (sequential) encryption allows using multiple algorithms (AES/Rijndael, Serpent, Twofish, Blowfish, CAST6) at once for protection, which significantly improves cryptographic strength. The program has powerful built-in protection from brute force password attacks in accordance with PKCS #5 v2, as well as a virtual keyboard which protects user-entered passwords from keyloggers. Support for hidden encrypted volumes with multiple levels of nesting allows concealing the presence of confidential information with greater reliability.
